About The Mentor

Geoff is an executive leader, expert trainer, coach and speaker with 20+ years of management experience across various industries as healthcare, hospitality, corporate real estate and IT. His areas of expertise are Strategic Management, Change Management, Communication and Soft Skills, Business Transformation, Process Improvement and Portfolio Management, accompanied by broad international exposure spanning across diverse cultural groups within MENA, Europe & North America. Over the course of his career, Geoff has been responsible for leading diverse teams with the overall goal of improving operations within the built environment. He spent the first fourteen years of his career providing consulting services to healthcare facility professionals in an effort to help them better understand their buildings (in excess of 10 million square feet), improve their operational efficiency and effectiveness. Then he moved into the senior executive role at a not-for-profit conference centre reporting to a board of directors and was responsible for strategic and operational leadership. Currently Geoff is an executive leader overseeing the Eastern Canadian operations of a facility management service provider supporting 25 million square feet in the healthcare, critical environment, commercial real estate and education sectors. His focus has always been on strategy execution, managing the execution of strategic initiatives and major transformational efforts that improve customer experience, processes performance and operational excellence while aligning with the overall organizational strategy. As an instructor, Geoff is certified instructor for the International Facility Management Association, and is affiliated with several other training organizations and Universities in Canada. He has conducted formal and certification courses on Facility Management to diverse groups of leaders across multiple industries. In addition to that, he is a regular speaker at global congresses on the topics of facility management, IT solutions for facilities managers, change management, process improvement, and communication and soft skills. Geoff has a very strong academic background as he holds both a Bachelor of Environment Studies majoring in Pre-professional Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Waterloo. He is a Fellow and holds all three professional designations from IFMA: Certified Facility Manager (CFM); Facility Management Professional (FMP) and Sustainable Facility Profession (SFP). Geoff holds and has held several voluntary leadership roles in the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). He is currently sitting on the Americas Advisory Board, the Strategic Advisory Group for the Information Technology Community and is past-chair of the Young Professionals Group. He was previously a Director on IFMA’s Global Board of Directors, President of the Information Technology Community and President of the Toronto Chapter of IFMA. Geoff is an author and co-editor of the text “The Facility Manager’s Guide to Information Technology” (First and Second Editions) which is a multi-national collaborative effort between members of GEFMA and IFMA with authors representing seven countries. His teaching style is collaborative, inclusive and rich with real-world examples of how the principles and practices have been applied.

What language will the course be taught in and what level of English do I need to take part in an LEORON training program?
Most of our public courses are delivered in English language. You need to be proficient in English to be able to fully participate in the workshop and network with other delegates. For in-house courses we have the capability to train in Arabic, Dutch, German and Portuguese.
Are LEORON Public courses certified by an official body/organization?

What is the deadline for registering to a public course?
The deadline to register for a public course is 14 days before the course starts. Kindly note that occasionally we do accept late registrations as well, but this needs to be confirmed with the project manager of the training program or with our registration desk that can be reached at +91 4 95 5711 or register@leoron.com.
What does the course fee cover?
The course fee covers a premium training experience in a 5-star hotel, learning materials, lunches & refreshments, and for some courses, the certification fee and membership with the accrediting bodies.
Does LEORON give discounts?
