About The Mentor

Lena Thompson, FMP, SFP, and she is an International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) Certified Instructor. She was recently bestowed one of IFMA’s most esteemed honors as an IFMA Fellow. She currently serves as the Director of Building Operations at the American Psychological Association where she spearheaded achieving LEED Platinum Existing Building status of both properties. During her facilities management career in both public and nonprofit sectors, she has extensive experience in workplace strategy, energy conservation, construction management, workplace safety, and change management. As an industry leader with 25+ years of experience, Lena has a proven track record in all aspects of facilities management including property management, lease negotiations, formulating policies, operations, and project management. Her accomplishments include: → IFMA Fellow → Facility Management Professional (FMP) → Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) → IFMA Foundation Ambassador (2019-2020) → IFMA, Capital Chapter, Board of Directors, Vice → President, Communications, Capital Chapter (2016 - 2018) → Co-Author, Partnering for Excellence (2017) E-Book Lena has always focused on improving the employee work environment which has led to the implementation of many healthy workplace initiatives and sustainable programs. In conjunction with her soaring career path, she also serves on the advisory board at Prince George’s County Community College (PGCC) and has inserted herself as staple in the PGCC Continuing Education Department. Lena is currently an Adjunct Professor at PGCC and Community College Baltimore County and continues to inspire and encourage others to improve corporate work life experiences.

What language will the course be taught in and what level of English do I need to take part in an LEORON training program?
Most of our public courses are delivered in English language. You need to be proficient in English to be able to fully participate in the workshop and network with other delegates. For in-house courses we have the capability to train in Arabic, Dutch, German and Portuguese.
Are LEORON Public courses certified by an official body/organization?
LEORON Institute partners with 20+ international bodies and associations.We also award continuing professional development credits (CPE/PDUs) for:1. What is the deadline for registering to a public course?
The deadline to register for a public course is 14 days before the course starts. Kindly note that occasionally we do accept late registrations as well, but this needs to be confirmed with the project manager of the training program or with our registration desk that can be reached at +91 4 95 5711 or register@leoron.com.
What does the course fee cover?
The course fee covers a premium training experience in a 5-star hotel, learning materials, lunches & refreshments, and for some courses, the certification fee and membership with the accrediting bodies.
Does LEORON give discounts?
Yes, we can provide discounts for group bookings. If you would like to discuss a discount on a corporate level, we will be happy to talk to you.
